This October, Vaasu invites you on a journey to Japan’s vibrant capital with Taste of Tokyo—an exclusive one-night collaboration between Chef Atul Kochhar and Chefs Aman Lakhiani & Zach Farr of Junsei London.
Precision Binchōtan Grilling Meets Bold Indian Spices
Opened in 2021 in London’s Marylebone, Junsei is a refined homage to the Japanese art of yakitori. Rooted in binchōtan-grilled precision, seasonal ingredients, and a nose-to-tail, zero-waste ethos, every skewer captures the spirit of Tokyo’s culinary heart—simple in appearance, but layered with depth, craftsmanship, and soul.
Chef Aman Lakhiani and Chef Zach Farr bring with them years of experience from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji Sushi Academy, Michelin-starred Torishin in New York, and acclaimed kitchens across Barcelona, Bali, and Sweden. At Junsei, they channel the essence of Japan’s street-side yakitori houses, elevated with global finesse.
On 29th October, they’ll join Chef Atul Kochhar to present a special menu that distills the taste of Tokyo into every bite—marrying the purity and discipline of yakitori with the bold, layered flavours Vaasu is known for.
