We’ll be celebrating Burns Night this year with an extra special whisky pairing available to match our dishes.
Restaurant Marlow Vaasu Celebrates Burns Night
Distilled at Caol Ila distillery in Islay, our Atul Kochhar single malt Scotch whisky is one of the lighter Islay whiskies, aged for seven years, with peaty, floral and peppery notes. As well as being sold as a single malt, the high quality whisky is used in blends such as Johnnie Walker’s famous Black Label.
At Vaasu, the whisky is recommended alongside our kebab thal platter for Burns Night, featuring lamb, chicken, prawn, and tandoori aloo. Plus our Lake District lamb rump with clove smoked shoulder curry and saag aloo jeera.
We’re also offering a set lunch menu (2 courses £21, 3 courses £23) filled with a range of delicious Pan-Indian dishes. Tuck into the likes of crispy stuffed potato with yoghurt, mint and tamarind chutney; green herb chicken tikka; Kerala seabass fish curry with mash and kale; murg achari grilled chicken supreme achari korma and toffee pudding with ginger ice cream and toffee sauce.
Vegan January Marlow Restaurant
Showcasing the bounty of beautiful flavours, aromas and spices from the states across India, our vegan tasting menu features eight sumptuous courses (£69 per person, or £120 with wine pairings).
Following a surprise amuse bouche washed down with a glass of Atul Kochhar signature sparkling wine, the vegan tasting menu features delights such as red kidney bean patties with plum tomato chutney; tandoori artichokes, fritters, and lemon korma; new potato stuffed with soya and raisin plus mint and tomato chutney; aubergine steaks with peanut korma; and a decadent chocolate and citrus mousse for dessert.
